The song that first got us noticed in our local scene. I had been playing this song acoustically for about 18months possibly 2 years before we recorded this full band version. Everything was already in place except for the lead guitar line that came together in the studio. It made me laugh when some reviews for our debut album said that we had copied the 'Stay Young' idea from fellow Newport band Save Your Breath even though this version as well as the acoustic live version had already been around for years. This still feels great to play acoustic to this day." - Benj Squibbs
lyrics
I walk around this town and I cant see
The places that we roamed as kids have all deserted me
Where the hells my city gone I just don't understand
Newport City's changed so much that I cant stand
I don't think I'd recognize you anymore
Lets stay young
Whats the point in growing old?
Lets stay young
Lets stay young
I walk around this town and I cant see
The shops and streets are building sites so many homes empty
Where the hells my city gone I just don't understand
Crumpled concrete rules the street and I cant stand it
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, Something blue
Keeps us hanging onto you
Keeps that halo over you
