"I knew we had a song here but it never quite sounded the way it was supposed to. The verses are too stop/starty and lack conviction and the vocal effect throughout is horrible. It actually made me disown and hate the song for a long time until I came up with the riff that made it onto the album. Sometimes it takes a while for songs to come to life and this demo proves it." - Benj Squibbs
lyrics
Whats wrong with the scene these days?
You've got the same old bands with the same old songs and you laugh if they don't sound the same
Take aim and fire away
Ive got a target on my chest with a bullet proof vest but im feeling your shots all the same
You wont ever bring me down
We laugh at things you spread around town
If you live in a glass house don't throw stones
We will always make you proud
There will be no stopping us now
Get us started I swear we'll be unstoppable
Give me something,
Something to sing about
We stare at all the same rock stars
Month after month, Year after year we worship the gods from afar
Lets start again right now
Where the old get out and the young stay young and we sing our songs from the fucking heart.
We are the new kings of this town
We came along to bring you down
